Fur & Fringe

This vintage bag from Urban Outfitters is completely handmade and one-of-a-kind. It makes a statement, but it's small so not overwhelming. Definitely on my wish list.

Prima Ballerina

Latest obsession: Free People's Vintage Collections. With a total of 9 collections to date, each represent a different style while still sticking to the Free People boho-chic esthetic. This dress from the Prima Ballerina collection is absolutely gorgeous. The knit is cinched at the waist, with lovely draping detail. It's delicate, feminine, and in mint condition. Definitely a must-have.

Rough, Not Tough

I love this cuff from Anthropologie. It's rustic with a brassy, rough texture, but covered in girly roses. This bracelet can definitely add that extra "pop" to an otherwise plain outfit.

Tailored to Perfection

I love this dress from Asos. Tailored, with clean lines, it's sophisticated and elegant. The high neckline is countered by the short hemline so its young, not matronly. A pleated tulip skirt, and large gold buttons are nice details, as well as the three interesting colors it comes in: bold read, a fox-y orange, and navy.

I got this vest today from a new boutique in my town, The Dressing Room. It's definitely going to be a favorite piece of mine in the new year.

Grandma's Sweater

My grandmother gave me this sweater this weekend. I love the bold color, big wooden buttons, and fit: it's knit loosely and the sleeves are oversized. It's so warm too, so I definitely wore it in during the blizzard these past few days.

Let me know what you think!
Any ideas on jewelry?

Slouchy and Soft

In the winter, all I ever want to wear are comfy, cozy sweaters. This turtleneck from American Apparel is the perfect example. Simple, chic, and a wardrobe staple. The sleeves are cuffed, and the neck is an added detail. It falls under the store's unisex category, but when paired correctly the piece is very feminine and just plain pretty. Overall, effortless, easy, and smart.

Pretty In Purple

The Holidays are just around the corner! If you're still scrambling for that perfect outfit, look at this vintage dress from Modcloth. The blend of different shades of deep purple is a great color for winter (aka NOT black, which is so overdone). This frock has some great details: an asymmetrical, one-shoulder top, draped, sheer, layered fabric, and a cinched waist! Pair with some gold jewelry and shoes to pump up the glamour. You'll be sure to stand out.

Style Icon of the Week: Rachel Bilson

Rachel Bilson is the epitome of effortlessness. The way she dresses is easy and cool, but still feminine and pretty. Taste comes naturally to her. Part bohemian, part sweet, part tailored, Bilson has an eclectic style that is accessible and chic. She is definitely an inspiration.

Camel Coat

I love this camel-colored car coat from Topshop. It's definitely not for outdoors in the middle of winter, but still fabulous in all other ways. It has some great details: the double breasted buttons, peter pan collar, 3/4 length sleeves, etc. Pair it with a skinny pant to balance the wide cut of the coat.

Haute Harem

Harem pants. Need I say more? They have an effortless, cool vibe while still looking completely polished. I think this pair from Topshop is absolutely fab. They have the slouchy look, but aren't too baggy. And the tie at the waste "vamps it up" a little while giving it a chic touch. Since they're made of jersey, they are light and breezy. They're black which also adds to the pants' overall sophistication and they go with everything (obviously). Perfection.

Soft and Sweet

I bought this blouse from Anthropologie last weekend and I absolutely love it. The peter-pan collar, floral pattern, and puff sleeve give it a delicate, girly feel and the buttons make it sweet. I paired it with black skinny pants (a must-have for every woman) and tan and black oxfords. Although it's difficult to tell in the picture, I am also wearing a simple silver necklace that falls just below the collar bone. Any bigger jewelry, and the outfit would have been too busy.

PS. Say hi to my puppy, Toby! He wanted to get in the picture.

Style Icon of the Week: Eric Daman

Designer for the TV phenomenon "Gossip Girl", Eric Daman is responsible for the works of art we see on our favorite Upper-East-Siders every week. His ingenious creations not only add to the show's production level, but also contribute to the viewers' understanding of the characters: the clothing acts as a window into their fabulous lifestyles and personalities. Daman proves that fashion truly is a form of expression.

The Anti-Boyfriend Blazer

Blazers are a staple in every woman's wardrobe. But with so many different styles (Tuxedo, Double Breasted, and the ever-so popular Boyfriend Blazer), how do you know which one to pick?! This one from Urban Outfitters is the perfect mix of casualness and femininity. The shoulders and exposed striped lining are so interesting. And since it's short and perfectly cut, it flatters your figure (unlike the Boyfriend Blazer). You can pair it with virtually anything.
